Re: Diabetes and mental health

Drinking lots of water here @Jacques  to see if it helps

Going to check again soon xx

Re: Diabetes and mental health

@Shaz51 I've cut back to 2 mugs of coffee or tea a day, I'm supposed to cut back further to 1. I don't know if caffeine affects it.

Yes getting advice is a very good idea. I don't know much about it having only been prediabetic but I know it's hyperglycaemic. Good advice @SmilingGecko

Re: Diabetes and mental health

@Dimity , @Jacques , @SmilingGecko

Had my insulin injection and meds and lots of water  and my sugar levels are  now 12.8

Re: Diabetes and mental health

That's good @Shaz51 well done. Glad it's better. Still worth reporting to your team.

Take care.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Oh yes @Dimity , still going to report it , might need adjustment

Take care too my friend 🧡

How is your eye xx

Re: Diabetes and mental health

It's pretty good thanks @Shaz51. I need new glasses now but have to wait a few weeks.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

That's good @Dimity , glasses to help more

I get my eye tested again at the end of august

Hope I can get new lense in these frames

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Yes it's very important to keep up the eye checks @Shaz51

I like the new frames I got a few months ago so will try to reuse them too.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

So glad you are doing better @Shaz51 I was really concerned about you ❤️

I drink jiaogulan (gynostemma) tea -[edited by moderator] It works better than my diabetes med. Ever since I hopped back on board drinking it my blood sugars were in a healthy range.

Its been good for my kidneys too. In my 30's my hair used to be like straw after all the psych meds they pumped into me affecting kidney function. [edited]

When I went back to my GP years ago he seemed to indicate that you don't have healthy hair like that while on those psych meds and it was the jiaogulan which made my hair soft silky and healthy!

I don't know if its relevant to you or is ok for you to drink but my traditional chinese doctor put me on it. [edited by moderator] The taste is really lovely. I find the taste addictive. My chinese doctor said if you find it addictive you possibly need it. I would go to WebMD to check if theres no contraindicators if you want to drink it.

Its just a suggestion - it may bring your sugars down and enable you to gain more control over your health. Have heard it will be the next new superfood that is being promoted by healers, along with things like goji berries in the past 🙂

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Thank you for the suggestion my friend @SmilingGecko 😊

It is tricky getting that balance all the time isn't it ❤️
