Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Evening lil Sis @outlander
Very hot here today. We are going into a snap 5 day lockdown in about an hour. We have a security guard who worked in hotel quarantine (& also as an uber driver) who has tested positive for the more contagious UK strain.

I popped into my local store to get milk, and it was bedlam with people panic buying. It's going to be an interesting week.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I seen that on the news @Sans911 i heard stores were having shelves emptied in a matter of hours with lines out the doors!
I dont miss that here thats for sure.
Hopefully the weeks lockdown will prevent any more infections or minimal anyway.
Have you got ways to amuse yourself over the next few days?

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Yes I saw that on the news @Sans911 about the snap lockdown, and panic buying. Just hoping covid has not already spread to the community.

Stay safe. 🌹

Take care hun @Sans911

Hoping you got what you needed from the supermarket.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I got my milk elsewhere @Snowie @outlander. I've got plenty to do at home to occupy my time.

I suspect there's possibly information being kept from us, as masks are mandatory as well. So this lock down might go on longer yet if there community spread @Emelia8. It was only a matter of time. How we deal with quarantine here is ridiculous. We've had so many escape, this man works two jobs. Shares a house with 2 people. And almost everyone here is so complacent about hand hygiene, distancing, etc.

Anyway I'll get off my soapbox.

Where my mother lives is north of me. They aren't in lock down at this stage. She was going to visit me this week but now she can't

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

that makes things hard when people are so complacent @Sans911 its not really that hard to wash your hands, distance, isolate if sick and wear masks where its at least compulsory,

the guy working 2 jobs though etc has really blown it for everyone else. from what i read he has actually tested positive 3 times in the time he worked there-3 consecutive weeks. well thats what one news article had said.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

He actually only tested positive last night @outlander. He's had weekly tests as per the requirements for frontline staff. The last 3 weeks he was negative. Apparently he called in sick on Thursday but went to a gp and then a pharmacist. They have posted up a long list of exposure sites he might have been at or his close contacts were at. And as far the health department is aware he last worked a rideshare job on the 22nd January. There will be lots of conflicting information floating around

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

yeah, reporters should really reread things. i cant find the article now but the way they wrote it they were saying he had tested positive the last 3 weeks 🤦‍♀️ @Sans911

at least you have things to entertain yourself for the next week, hopefully itll be contained well within the next few days

Goodnight @Sans911 @Snowie 😴💚🌻
