Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Evening lil Sis @outlander

Are you ok? I kinda saw on a thread that yesterday was not a good day.

I left mid morning after getting 90% of what needing to be done before I left. I got to my uncles town after a three hour drive. Stopped on the way to get some food supplies. We had lunch, then played yahtzhee for a while before having a nap for just over an hour. We've relaxed for most of the afternoon and evening.

I'm in a lot of pain tonight, resisting pain medication but I may have to give in. I am looking forward to bed soon.

@Snowie @Zoe7 thinking of you both but I don't expect a response

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Evening sis @Sans911 that is alot of driving! Are you back home now or staying in your uncles town a day or 2?
Whats causing your pain? Is it from all the driving?

Yeah yesterday wasnt a good day, has been a rough few days so ive taken to trudging along for now. I dont really want to go into it tonight though if thats ok

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Hey @Sans911 Heart Sorry you are in pain Hon - I know that 'resisting meds' feeling oh too well but generally give in myself these days so if you need to in order to reduce the pain then so be it. We struggle with enough in our lives without the added physical pains so I am personaly relieved when some of that pain can be reduced.

I too am waiting for bed - I thought meds would have kicked in well before this time as I am still really exhausted but alas it hasn't happened yet Smiley Surprised Watching Mrs Brown's Boys with Toby sound asleep next to me - he took himself off to bed earliier - must have thought the same as me ...an early night needed but he is now back on the couch.

How long are you away for?

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I am not sure if I explained properly @outlander I'm away for 10 days on a staycation. The town I'm going to is about 8 hours drive from my city. I can't do that in one day so I'm staying with my uncle one night. It's about a third of the way. Tomorrow night will be in a caravan park sleeping in my car. Then I'll arrive the next day. I'm booked into a self contained cabin outside the town. I return home on the 5th January. My drive home has to be over 2 days. I'll still be online at this stage, but I'm likely to take a digital break for a couple of days. My mother is looking after Jasper and Mr A.

My pain is from my skin graft on my left thigh. I've got an ice pack on which is helping.

No need to talk about things lil Sis. I can talk for both of us lol

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

10 days in total. 2 and 1/2 driving there and 2 days driving home. It's a coastal town which I never been to despite my extensive travels.

I resisted my pain medication as I know it would make me drowsy. For now I have an ice pack on the skin graft site (on my thigh) which is helping.

I hope you get some rest and sleep soon @Zoe7
