you must be good @plasmo  I was a bit in awe of gf like 40years ago as she had professional machine and sewed for designers 

sister who dont talk to  did tafe courses on how to adapt patterns to dift sizes. she made her kids clothes whenthey were young

yeah i'm not good at it.. but can do basic stuff, when i'm not dropping my needle, losing bits.. stabbing myself etc. really is a skill and you can get into the zone doing it.

only had to put about 3 stitches in this thing, now got to work out how to mount the tablet in it.

i've got an old phone case i can cut up for the corner bits, cut a piece of cardboard which i can slot in but it looks like cardboard.. was going to cut a black display book.. but i might just put black gaffer tape around edges, can always change it later, get stuff finjshed then fiddle about later.

oh you mean hand sewing @plasmo  need right size needles, thread , decent thimble

I had to do hand sewing in like grade 6 or 7 primary school @plasmo

i think yr 9 home ec was the last time i did it at school. just ended up doing it to make phone cases, straps with velcro etc.

yeah home ec was compulsory year 9 think . I made couple cakes, turned out okay lol @plasmo

i had to make some doll thing.. pencil case.. jumper.. cooked a heap of stuff
