Evening Feasters!
I am contributing some Arancini tonight (rice balls!) - I usually make these out of left over risotto.
If you are interested in cleaning have you tried FlyLady?

Hi everyone. I'm bringing a dish of mexican called huevos rancheros - mexican stew of spices, onion, garlic, capsicum, tomato and beans with eggs cracked over the top of it. If you want it non-vego you can add chorizo. Served with tortillas or just crusty bread.
When it comes to cleaning I'm about as lazy as it's possible to be without it being too obvious. I do what I call 'spot cleaning' - when I notice something or make a mess I fix it rather than have it become a problem later. That said, dusting almost never happens, nor window cleaning. Recently gave my fans their annual clean (LOL) and felt good about it afterwards. The bathroom is the one place I do keep clean though. There's just me here so no-one else to share the chores. With the floors it's definitely one area at a time, I never do the whole house in one go unless it's time for the annual inspection and even then only do what I need to.

YUMMM @chookmojo Arcini balls are one of my favs. I can never be bothered to make them though.
@Crazy_Bug_Lady They are rice balls with cheese (or meat) in the middle and breadcrumbs on the outside. You can cook 'em in the oven, and then serve them with a bolognese sauce.
How's the cleaning going @Crazy_Bug_Lady?

Hello @Crazy_Bug_Lady @CannonSalt @Former-Member @CherryBomb
I lived in flats ... we do need to consider others ... but sometimes babies also have to learn to adjust to ambient noise ... its hard to strike a balance and all you can do is try and not worry too much ... I agree 8.30 is probably fine for vacuuming ... i often do things late as had a rush of energy for some weird reason ...so son would worry if I mopped at 10 or 11 ... I figured it was my energy and if had it spare my timing was good enough ... its a joke between us now ...
I had a little insight about my householding style while pottering out in the garden today! ... so my brain must be finally in tune with my culture ... eg you guys and gals!!
Pre children ...I was haphazard and when things got to me but averagely clean and tidy.
Since children ... made a conscious decision to start at kitchen sink and their beds and do work arounds until distracted by other tasks. As we were also renovating for 10 years that kept me busy more than a full time job ... I pretty much still do this. Ah the zen of dish maintenance.
I pondered Monday wash day types paradigms but it didnt fit with what needed to be done and my available energy etc.... things change
While out in the garden I have been noticing that my circling often starts with the perimeter and is usually about what is quick or appropriate to the tool I have in hand. Or I do big sections etc ... note my perimeter does not coincide with land owned.
As my husband would make nasty comments if I made something look nice around the front door as if I was trying to impress people etc ... that that I was to kiss his butt if he painted a room .... or that if I cleaned the car I might be preparing to sell it on him ... it was all so weird to me the middleclass attitudes and incredible paranoia about stuff. I had never had a couch until I inherited my little sister's couch after she died and then I became so attached to it I wanted to sleep on it had a fold out foam bed ... but I was also fine with sleeping on the floor .... whatever.
Then one sister in law who is a disgusting house keeper told me off for wanting to clean too much when she was visiting and sleeping in my house ... I have settled on approximately clean and tidy ... the studio has lived in but tidy feel ....but it took a while to be more assertive about others' less than perfect manners.
One student, adult male who was a clean freak ... told me my house keeping standards were up to me as it was my house ... it took a long time to actually feel right about that ... still a bit defensive it aint perfect
Wow @CannonSalt cleaning out the rollers ... I have cleaned all the grout in the house or all the windows and fittings but never get arond to have everything sparkling clean at the same time...

She is a very well reknopwned cleaning guru. I tried her methods out at one point.
