I could spend all day on the beach under the sun @Bow I don’t like being hot inside though but I get annoyed with people leaving the air con on all day.
Im a beach girl at heart.

Hey @Bow ,
It's school holidays for the kids so I took out the cricuit for some projects. The rubber on the rollers are all worn.
I contacted cricuit to get it fixed. They don't do it... so looks like we have to do it ourselves. So I've looked it up and bought the parts. Fingers crossed!
How are your projects going?
Hey @Eve7 !

Oh @tyme !! You wouldn’t believe it!
the rubbers on mine need replacing too. I bought new rubbers off Amazon and have found a YouTube video to watch. On a FB cricut page for Aus, they were saying no one in aus services them. Someone else said that it’s a known issue with them and people have been able to call cricut up and get their whole machine replaced!
well…. Mum bought me a new machine yesterday! When in spotlight yesterday I was actually feeling the rollers and the newer machine ones are different. They aren’t anywhere near as rubbery, more hard and solid. Perhaps they changed them cause of the issues?
anyways! I’m still going to change the rollers on my old machine and then sell it. Just need to set aside some time. I’ve heard it’s a very fiddly job and takes a while.

I’m gonna download a form from my energy provider and get my gp to fill it in @Jynx you can get a rebate for heating and cooling if a medical condition affects you that way. Did you know that?
I’m really struggling with adulting tasks and life admin at the moment. Things just feel so overwhelming and impossible to do. I have phone calls I need to make. Emails I need to send. Chores…. Ick. Was actually just looking at NDIS and what I could possible get some assistance with. The thing I struggle with is that I know I can do it. I held down a job successfully for over 8yrs, was able to do management. Like why can’t I just do it now? I’m capable. But I can’t do it.
I watched a TikTok video a little while ago and it was this chick ranting about how she had seen that another girl who struggles with her mental health only showered twice a week and she just couldn’t comprehend that and was just going off about it. And then all the comments agreeing and how some shower multiple times a day. I felt so incredibly judged. My personal hygiene is so bad. I won’t say how often I shower cause I am so ashamed. Again I am so capable of more. But I can’t.
D wants to go to the beach. I hope it’s not too hot!

I like the beach @Eve7 but I can’t do all day. And I hate the mess! And the effort! It’s nice of an evening too… when the sun goes down and it’s cools off.
I try not to use the ac much. Don’t like the cost. But I’ll have a fan on a lot. I have fibromyalgia so the heat really knocks me around.

Cool! You got a new Maker? Yes! The rollers are so bad! I saw how fiddly the job is. Maybe someone can start a business to replace the rollers! I saw you have to boil the rubber too so it expands. I have all my cricut stuff laid out the on the floor and I can't make any because of the rollers! But I don't want to pack it up until I've made it so my room is all messy!
I look foward to seeing some of your cricut projects.
It's my nephew's bday and he loves fishing so I bought all these tackle boxes and will put sour worms and fish biscuits in the tackle box to give to his friends. I also bought fish pens and keyrings. I'll then use the cricut to put the kids' names on the tackle boxes and he can put a fish sticker on each box.
My nephew loves watching outdoor boys. @Bow
So that's my cricut project that I am waiting to do once the new rubber things come!

Upgraded from a maker to a maker 4 @tyme was $100 off.
haha yeah I went and got some small screwdrivers from bunnings and the guy asked me what I was doing so I tried to explain, I don’t think he got it! But he said maybe once I’ve done it I could go into business.
it’s my D’s birthday in 2 weeks and I was gonna make some things… but needed to change the rollers. Guess I can get making now though. Might also see what things we could make too since it’s holidays. She’s already complaining that she is bored 😩

@Bow woah that's good to know, thank you!!
Now...how to remember to do that once I get all diagnosededy.... 🤣
Yeah but... are the circumstances of your life the same now as they were back then? Maybe you could, on paper. But how would that influence your recovery? Would it be a help or a hindrance to be employed right now? Doesn't matter if you used to be able to - what matters is how much you can achieve right now. And plus, the whole point of NDIS is to try to provide for you in the areas where you are struggling to function. Part of the goals of the scheme is to get us to a level of functioning where we can work more. Just some food for thought ~
Do me tiny favour? Don't listen to internet randos on tiktok 🤣
I shower, on average, about 4-5 times a week. I'm not that stinky most days and like, my skin and hair look healthy. So that works for me. We didn't evolve to be scrubbed squeaky clean multiple times a day, pretty sure that's why they're all also addicted to expensive skincare (which is a judgey sweeping generalisation not intended to mock skincare enthusiasts but more a tongue in cheek poke at the predatory nature of the beauty industry).
Every one, every body, is different - genetics, ethnicity, health etc etc will all influence what hygiene we need. And factor in the complexities of ongoing mental health struggles... I doubt most of those folks have ever experienced anything like the severe anhedonia and apathy that can come with clincial depression - where the effort required to get up and pee is more than one can bear, let alone shower and dress oneself. You. Are. So. Fine.
Promise 💜
It's sheets washing day for me hahaha be sure to bring a parasol/sunscreen/spray bottle of cool water/hand fan/ice/so much water 🤣
