She says she gets 3 birthdays this year @Snowie here with us, at her dads and then she is having a party next weekend.
She’s not really a cake person unfortunately so we grabbed an ice cream cake… and the place she is going for her party, the package includes an ice cream cake too.
I’m the same with showers. And I am so incredibly ashamed at how few showers I have.

I still buy ice cream cakes for Hubby's birthday @Bow, he loves them!
I have S's birthday in 2 weeks.
Her birthday party sounds wonderful. They organise it all and provide the cake. Hopefully not much for you to do. Has she got new friends from her new school going?
I'm with you for showers hon. I won't say when my last one was or when I washed my hair last. Too long ago. It may seem like a straight forward thing for most, but can be so hard to do.

@Jynx thats about right.
I love the feeling of being clean and having freshly washed clean hair, but hate having to do it all.
If only I could just click my fingers and it be done...

Totally ridiculous how much we're shamed over it hey! @Snowie @Bow
I'm one of those people who likes to acknowledge that there are a fair few aspects of the human body that are inherently disgusting. Guess that's what happens when we evolve to solve all our problems with mucus
But anyway, it's been a helpful thing to practice acceptance around for me cos it has helped reduce some of the shame and that pressure to always present oneself to the world as some flawless angelic being. I also find other people's grossness more tolerable I guess? It also means I still, in my 30's, find farts funny - which I reckon is an overall increase in life enjoyment, bahaha cos you can find em funny or not funny but either way you're gonna be smelling farts in your life!
....Hang on how did I get onto this tangent? Oh my stars I am a silly goose 🤣

haha @Jynx
I think you are right. I don't see people in the same way as I used to. Every second day I used to shower. Every 4th day I'd wash my hair. Now I'm lucky to wash my hair once a fortnight and certainly don't shower that much now. Thank god for deodorant. My saviour.
I think I've don't pass judgement as much. You never really know what someone is going through.

@Snowie for sure hun you nailed it. We cannot know what someone is dealing with. I reckon if they took literally two seconds to be compassionate, these tiktokers who think you need to shower 6 times a day to be valid might actually be able to see that not everyone can (or should...) shower the same way, and that shaming someone over something that literally doesn't hurt anyone is a pretty poor use of their time and energy. In a perfect world, eh?

I hate tiktockers and people like that @Jynx I even have some people (not really friends) on facebook that only ever post the good things. They don't show you the hard/difficult times. Then people end up thinking that these people have perfect lives. That everything is always so good with them. That why can't my life be like that.
Just have to remember that when I look through their stories.

Ok I won’t beat myself up for not having a shower for a few more days yet! @Jynx @Snowie
I cleared space for kitties this afternoon. Pulled everything out and gave it a wipe down. Now just gotta keep it a secret from D. I thought she went back to school Monday.., and was gonna have them for when she got home. But was told today they don’t go back until Tuesday.
oh and… mum was heaps spontaneous last night. Asked if I would like to go on a Disney cruise. Of course I said. Booked and paid for. End of Dec begin of Jan. 🤩
