Re: Diabetes and mental health

Yes too many temptations @Shaz51 .

Just wondering if there's someone on your diabetes team you can talk to this week.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Rang my dietician @Dimity and she thinks it is just a spike so it will settle down again

So thought I might go for a walk tomorrow xx

@Tilz

Re: Diabetes and mental health

A walk is always good @Shaz51 .

I was proud of myself today, I walked to the shops and got cat litter - I've been getting it in deliveries the last 3 months.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Well done ๐Ÿ˜Š @Dimity ๐Ÿฅฐ

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Congrats @Dimity ! @Dimity , I've never asked (feel free not to answer), but do you have diabetes? I vaguely remember you were on the verge of having diabetes? My memory may have deceived me.

@Shaz51 , hope your sugar levels are under control. Sounds like a tough balancing act.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

I'm prediabetic @tyme . After I did the Life! program my sugars dropped but I relapsed 3 months ago, when my health went downhill and I couldn't exercise. I wasn't as careful with diet either.

I'm trying to ease back into good habits but won't be as active for at least another couple of months.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

@Shaz51 you might need to see your diabeties nurse to see if you need more units of insulin.

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Hello @Jacques , yes I think I need more units of  insulin , have to wait till Monday

@Dimity , @tyme , @Tilz

Yes it is a tricky balance and having kidney disease as well does make it harder

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Hi @Shaz51 @Dimity

Have been reading up on diabetes and all I can do is say is to take care of yourselves.  You guys seem to have all these extra challenges to face which makes life even more challenging.  Best of luck.......Asgard

Re: Diabetes and mental health

Thanks for sharing @Dimity . Good on you for the little bits of exercise you are able to fit in. It's a huge effort.

I'm cheering you on!

Hope your eye is better now.
