The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Thanks @WriterMelb

This is one of my favourite photos of Jasper when he was just a few months old. He was quite a cheeky lil kitten. Here he's chewing on a ribbon. This photo is on my lock screen of my phone

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Evening all. No need to respond if you're busy. It's been a challenging day on several fronts. I'm quite over some people and their attitudes and judgements about this pandemic.

I'm really missing my fur baby boy's squeaky meow and presence. Mr A continues to be quite demanding and a bit annoying but I'm trying to be gentle with him as I know he's a bit confused.

Mum is back in my unit staying for a couple more days. More of her housesits have fallen over in June and July. So she's feeling a bit upset and lost.

I was at the op shop this afternoon. Very quiet. Sales have plummeted. I was attacked on social media this morning because my store was open. I was called selfish, irresponsible and failing to follow gov orders. But op shops have not been ordered to close yet. We are following guidelines. And I wash my hands heaps. It's super hard as I'm trying to support the community and take care of my mental health (the op shop helps me not to isolate which for me is very detrimental).

Part of me wants to curl into a hole and come out when it's over. But I know I need to stay a little productive so I have started a list of things I can do at home.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Thats really rough @Sans911 you can only do what the govt is allowing. No need for people to be so rude about it. Its up to each individual to decide how much they are going out as well (unlesa in self isolation in which case they shouldnt be out at all!) Or if restrictions are in place.
Honestly wish we could fast forward a few months ans hope things had settled by then too.

Im not surprised your missing Jasper, he was apart of your family. Take time to grieve for him 💜💕

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I love my local opp shop. Keep the good work and the love going as long as you can.
