I’m sorry things are still rough for you too @Snowie it really sucks. It’s not fair. And I get it.
how’s your mum going in the home?
we did food shopping this morning too. Also went to bunnings- need to fence off the top garden jungle. Dog keeps going up in there and barking and won’t come down and we can’t get up there easily. So that will be a big job to fence that off. Also went to spotlight to get some blockout curtains. Front lounge window gets all the afternoon sun and it’s hot, even with the blinds. So another job.
My SW came to visit this arvo too. Sigh. Frustrating visits often. She talks so much and very rarely about supportiveness. Just random stuff. And when things are hard I don’t know sometimes it feels like it would just be easier if she didn’t come so I didnt have to engage in small talk.
anyways, do you have much on this week?

My mum is going ok @Bow Some days she loves being there, other days she wants to come home. Guess we just take it day by day.
I can't give her the level of care she needs at home anymore. I do know that.
Sounds like it has been a busy morning for you.
Is D on school holiday? S is
Your SW sounds like she can be hardwork. I'm not sure what the role of a SW should do, but I am guessing they should support people, especially when they are struggling. Maybe listen to them and work out ways in which they can help.
Have pdoc on Thursday but besides that not much. Nice for a change.
Much on for you?

sounds like a busy start to the day, @Snowie hope you're having a nice youtube down-time 😊
@Bow i'm going alright, a lil stressed cos i'm heading off to qld this week but i have lots to buy and pack still 😅 i'll get started on the packing tonight tho. how are you going today?
@Snowie @Bow either of you celebrating/decorating for halloween this year?

Hi @rav3n , I’m ok thanks for asking. I’ve just been away for a few days to Bundaberg and staying tonight with S before I drive the last little bit home. There was a lot of traffic on the road and as I didn’t sleep well last night I made a few stops today to break up the trip.

Watching some videos on politics @rav3n A pet like of mine.
We don't do Halloween. Even when the kids were young we never did it. We live on a bit of land so never have kids coming to our door either. Too far in between houses! Better to go where the houses are close together to get more lollies!
Never did it growing up either.
Do you do anything for it?

Hope your able to be kind to yourself when your mum says she wants to come home @Snowie
D has this week left and then they are on holidays. I was looking at my calendar today while SW was here and didn’t realise it was this week! Gone so quick.
Yeah it’s hard to get a word in most days with her so too bad if I did have something I needed to discuss. She often doesn’t even really ask how I am, which is an opportunity for me to open up. Sigh. Oh well. It’s not like any of my other supports are much use, so might as well throw her in that basket too.
Tomorrow I have a gp appointment. I had to book in to see her so I can renew my ED care plan for my dietitian. So that appointment could be interesting. I’ll have to have bloods too. And my SW isn’t available to come support me either. Which is a bit challenging.

@rav3n Is qld a holiday? I lived up there for 9 mths years ago. It’s a nice place. Love the beaches.
I don’t do Halloween. Never have.
im a bit anxious about my gp appointment tomorrow. And I’m tired. But I’m trying to keep myself busy.
dogs just jumped up on the couch next to me cause a storm is brewing outside.
hi @Eve7 👋
yesterday
Hi @Bow , I am so happy to see you back on the forums. I missed you so much my friend.
yesterday
S is on holidays this week and next @Bow Officially his last school holidays ever!
Thats a shame about your SW. I know the lack of support is really hard for you at the moment.
I hope your gp appointment goes ok. Hopefully you can get it sorted so you can see your dietitian.
