On top of my homework..that’s an excellent Wiki on Nicolaus Otto! 
I think maybe the best way to demonstrate Otto’s significant contribution is superbly summed up in the SBS OnDemand show called The Cars That Built The World… I watched it a little while back and I think it has a nice section on Otto’s development of the 4-stroke engine in one of the ep’s 🙂👍🏻
