Our first Christmas market is a new one off, twilight market. 3-9pm. The organizers actually seen us out at the country market and emailed us to invite us to this twilight market. So they liked what we had! We haven’t done this market before so no idea what to expect, but it’s being well advertised and it has lots of different things there, so hopefully busy!
Then we have our monthly country market, last for the year and it’s usually pretty busy. It’s well known and well organized. And lots of people come to do Christmas shopping. (And then they don’t have a market for January and February).
Ah IBS can be so rough @Snowie and it can be tricky to know what sets off a flare up sometimes.

Those markets sound like fun @Bow especially if you were invited to one and that they liked what you have made. A twilight market sounds like a really good idea. I wish we had something like that here.
D went out for tea last night with friends so that probably didn't help. Something in the food that set it off. When I cook there are certain things I don't include b/c of her IBS.

@Jynx That looks fabulous! I love how it glows with the light…. It won’t overheat and catch on fire will it?
So far so good!! Haha I got one of those like 'green' bulbs, they don't get as hot!!
How you going today hun?
Aww @Snowie I hope D has fully recovered!! IBS is soooo gnarly, my dad had so many gut issues whilst I was growing up. He's on low fodmap now, cos garlic and onion could leave him bed ridden for days!! As I get older, I realise more n more just how important gut health is, hey!

I cook low fodmap for her too @Jynx Onion and garlic are two of the worst things. Thats why I think she might have had something with them in it. Do you know how hard it is to find stir fry sauces and pasta sauce without them in it? Surprisingly Aldi is the best for these.

im just home from my schema group. Laying on the couch. I’m so tired.
Sat down at the beginning of group and the facilitator made the comment that I didn’t look ok today. Been a rough couple of days… more tired than usual. Feeling physical stuff. After our usual check in, we did reimagery. There was only the 2 of us there, but when it got to my turn I said I don’t think I had the capacity to participate in that today. Not only thinking about how I was feeling there in the moment, but also recovery afterwards. They were absolutely fine with that and appreciated that I was able to verbalize what I needed.
We did do a little bit of chair work though, which I was ok with. The over controller has been pretty loud and in control.., as has the inner critic. Pushing me to push myself despite feeling so exhausted. Going to aim to at least take notice of what little bow needs in those moments. Take notice when she needs rest. Maybe even stop when I get to that point. That’s the plan anyways.
My SW was suppose to do a home visit early this morning. I was waiting around for her. But when one of the other SW calls I immediately knew she was away today. That’s the only reason someone else calls. But she ain’t only away today, but all week 😩 covid I can assume, cause I was told to monitor for systems. (Actually did a test, thought maybe that’s why I’ve been so tired? But it was negative). Most shittyest time for her to be away with mum being away too. There is only 2 SW on this week now with 2 of them being away. So I’ll get very minimum support, probably just phone calls and group will probably be cancelled. I had bloods with my SW on Wednesday and then gp on Thursday.
dietitian appointment tomorrow. That should be interesting.

Is she on a fully low fodmap diet @Snowie or just avoiding certain trigger foods? Yeah my mum has always had trouble finding stuff!! Pretty sure there's a range of decent low fodmap sauces and stuff in... Coles I think? In the health food section. Also stupid expensive though, smh. So ridiculous that folks with intolerances or allergies (e.g. celiac) gotta shell out extra just to eat the same kinds of foods!!
I will let mum know about Aldi, thanks for the hot tip! 😊

@Bow oh wow, huge day for you hun. Are you feeling ok after group? I'm proud of you for recognising and verbalising what you needed! I hope you are too 😁
That really sucks about the lack of support in such a crunchy time for you hun. Would it be helpful/worth the energy to express to them that it is a rough time and any extra support they could give would be invaluable?
Anything else on for you this arvo? Hope not lol, or hope you got a chill one ahead!

I always struggle after group @Jynx just a lot to process… and a lot that has come to the surface. Feeling raw and vulnerable and pretty flat. I usually come home and spend a bit of time in bed. But can’t today. Had to pick D up from after school care- have to book her in to that when mum is away when I have group.
And I have to cook dinner. I just have an agreement with mum that on group nights, she cooks dinner, she doesn’t even ask what I want, it’s just in her hands. It’s too hard for me otherwise. But I did try and prep for it tonight. We wrote down a menu, and picked something pretty easy. Fish and chips. Just throw it in the air fryer. But it was still really hard. Finding the energy to get up. The desire even, to want to eat. To deal with food. Sitting at the table now. Had a few bites. Not hungry at all. D is munching away. Dog is moaning and whimpering at my side, wanting her cucumber.
maybe I can see how I am feeling when I get my phone call tomorrow. I don’t really gel with the only female SW that is on this week.
The other option is calling comm mh and speaking with my CM. But she won’t be available until Wednesday. And then I am sure I will have to justify why I need a little extra support 😩
not much on tonight. I’ll clean up from dinner, feed the animals and then crash on the couch. I might frame all the art that I did yesterday. Picked up some extra frames from Kmart after group today. But that’s easy, can do it while watching my kitchen rules. But need to print some stickers out though. I put 2 stickers on the back of each piece.
actually I got to share some of my art at group today. The other girl was talking about buying some craft kits and she was showing what it was, and then they asked about my art.
are you up to much tonight? Any Kmart runs? Visiting friends?

oh gosh @Bow sounds like a busy day.
I'm sorry to hear about your SW hon and that she won't be able to support you, especially with your mum away too.
I'm proud of you for speaking up in your group and saying what would be the best for you. I know that can be really hard so well done.
I hope tonight goes ok and you can get to bed early. I know it's going to be an early night here.
